Managing Prayer Requests

Managing Prayer Requests

Ministry is about partnership, and being there for your community when they are in need. EvangelOS provides a simple, secure, and trustworthy place for your members to submit prayer requests, and for your team to view, manage, and follow up on them.

This feature ensures that no request gets lost and that your team can care for your community efficiently.

How Members Submit Requests

Your members can submit prayer requests directly through their Member Portal. This gives them a private and secure way to share their needs with your pastoral team from their phone or computer, anytime.

How to View and Manage Prayer Requests

As an administrator or pastor, you can manage all incoming requests from the main "Prayer Requests" dashboard.

  1. Navigate to the "Prayer Requests" page from the main navigation menu on the left.

  2. On this page, you will see a list of all prayer requests that have been submitted. You can quickly see who submitted the request, when it came in, and its current status (e.g., "New").

Working with a Specific Request

To see the full details or to follow up, simply click on any prayer request in the list. This will open the Prayer Request Detail page, which is your central tool for managing this request.

From here, you can:

  • Read the Full Request: See the complete message shared by the member.

  • Add Internal Notes: You can add private notes that only your team can see (e.g., "Called them on 11/16 to pray," "Sent a follow-up email"). This is perfect for keeping track of your pastoral care.

  • Assign to a Staff Member: You can assign the request to a specific pastor or team member to ensure it gets the right follow-up.

  • Update the Status: You can mark the request as "In Progress" or "Completed" so your team knows it has been handled.

This simple dashboard acts as your team's central hub for pastoral care, making sure you can be a helpful partner to your community when they need it most.
