Sending Your First Email Newsletter

Sending Your First Email Newsletter

Communicating with your congregation is simple with EvangelOS. Our built-in email tools, powered by SendGrid, allow you to create and send beautiful newsletters. This guide will show you how.

Step 1: Navigate to the Communications Hub

From the main sidebar navigation on the left, click on the "Communications" icon. This is your central hub for all emails and social media posts.

Step 2: Create a New Email

In the top right corner, click the "Create New" button and select "Email" from the dropdown menu.

Step 3: Compose Your Email

This will open our powerful email editor.

  • Recipients: Choose who will receive the email. You can select specific individuals, one or more groups, or send to all members.

  • Subject Line: Write a clear and engaging subject line for your email.

  • Content: Write the body of your email in the main editor. You can use formatting tools to add headings, lists, and links.

    • Pro Tip: Use the Evangel AI button to help you draft content, fix grammar, or change the tone of your message!

Step 4: Preview and Send

Before sending, it's always a good idea to see what your email will look like.

  1. Click the "Preview" button to see a desktop and mobile version of your newsletter.

  2. When you are satisfied, you can either "Send Now" to deliver the email immediately or "Schedule for Later" to choose a specific time for it to be sent.

You've successfully sent your first newsletter! You can track its performance, including open and click rates, right from the Communications dashboard.
