Knowing who is showing up (and when) is a vital sign of your church's health and engagement. The Attendance Analytics section of your dashboard helps you see these patterns in a simple, visual way, using the check-in data from your events and groups.
This guide will walk you through the key charts and metrics you'll find, helping you understand how your community is gathering.
Navigate to "Reporting & Analytics" from the main navigation menu on the left.
On the main dashboard, you will see the "Attendance Analytics" section (this may be a set of charts or a specific tab).
Remember to use the Filter Toolbar at the top of the page to set your date range (e.g., "Last 30 Days," "This Quarter") to see the most relevant data.
This section gives you a complete overview of how people are participating in your events and groups.
Average Attendance: This is your main "headline" number, showing you the average number of people attending your key events (like Sunday services) in the time frame you selected.
Attendance Over Time: This is a bar or line chart that shows your attendance numbers week by week. It's the best way to see your attendance trends at a glance, spot seasonal dips, or see the impact of a new series.
Event Attendance Breakdown: This chart or list shows you which events are the most attended, allowing you to compare your "Sunday Service" numbers against your "Midweek Study" or "Youth Group."
Group Attendance: You can also see a summary of your small group attendance, helping you understand how many people are engaging in your community beyond the main weekend services.
These simple reports are your partner in understanding how, when, and where your community is connecting.
Now that you have a picture of your attendance, let's look at the people themselves. Our next guide, "Understanding Membership & Demographics Analytics," will show you who makes up your community, including trends in age, gender, and location.
