Your church's financial health is a key indicator of your community's engagement and trust. The Giving Analytics section of your dashboard helps you see and understand your giving trends in a simple, visual way.
This guide will walk you through the key charts and metrics you'll find in this section, helping you make confident, informed decisions for your ministry's budget and vision.
Navigate to "Reporting & Analytics" from the main navigation menu on the left.
On the main dashboard, you will see the "Giving Analytics" section, which may be the first set of charts or a specific tab.
Remember to use the Filter Toolbar at the top of the page to set your date range (e.g., "This Quarter," "Last Year") to see the most relevant data.
This section gives you a complete, top-down view of your finances.
Total Giving: This is your main "headline" number, showing you the total amount of all donations (both online and from your batches) received in the time frame you selected.
Giving Over Time: This is often a bar or line chart that shows your giving week by week or month by month. It's the best way to see your financial trends at a glance and compare your current giving to past periods.
Giving by Fund: This chart (often a pie chart or a list) breaks down your total giving by the funds you created. It shows you exactly how much money came in for your "General Fund," "Building Fund," "Missions," etc.
Average Donation: This metric shows you the average amount of a single donation, which is helpful for understanding your givers' habits.
New vs. Recurring Givers: This chart helps you see how many people gave for the first time compared to those who are established, recurring givers.
These simple, clear reports are your partners in financial stewardship, helping you understand your church's health and plan for the future.
Financial health is one part of the story; engagement is another. Our next guide, "Understanding Attendance Analytics," will walk you through the reports that show you how many people are attending your events and groups.
