Understanding the Member Profile

Understanding the Member Profile

After you add a new member, you'll be taken to their Member Profile. This page is the central, helpful hub for every piece of information related to that person.

Think of it as your command center for that member. It's a single, secure place to see a 360-degree view of their involvement, history, and details.

How to Access a Member Profile

Simply navigate to the main "Members" page from the left-hand menu and click on any person's name in the list.

What's on the Profile Page

The profile page is organized into simple sections, often using tabs, to make finding information easy.

1. The Profile Header At the top of the page, you'll see the member's name, profile picture (if they've added one), and their key contact details at a glance, like their primary email and phone number.

2. The "Details" Tab This is the main tab for all their core information. It's where you'll find (and can edit) their:

  • Full Name

  • Contact Info (Email, Phone, Address)

  • Personal Details (like Birthday, Age, and Gender)

  • Custom Fields: This is also where you'll see all the special fields you've created for your church, such as "Membership Status," "Baptism Date," or "Spiritual Gifts."

3. The "Family" Tab This tab shows you the other members of this person's household. You can easily see who their spouse and children are and click on their names to jump to their profiles.

4. The "Groups" Tab This tab lists all the small groups, ministry teams, or classes the member is a part of.

5. The "Giving" Tab For users with finance permissions, this tab shows a secure and detailed history of the member's giving. You can see all their past donations, manage recurring gifts, and this is also where you can generate an individual Giving Statement for their tax records.

6. The "Attendance" / "Timeline" Tab This section gives you a history of the member's engagement. You can see which events they've attended or checked in to. This area may also include a place to add private, pastoral Notes (e.g., "Met for coffee 10/15") to keep track of your interactions.

7. The "Background Checks" Tab For administrators, this secure tab will show the status of any background checks for this member that have been ordered through our Vetty integration. This is key for managing your volunteers.
